- Ask to see the microchip scanned in front of you and check it matches the listing.
- Avoid sellers who refuse a viewing, insist on delivery only, or pressure you to decide quickly.
- Use a secure, traceable payment method – never wire transfer, gift cards or cash sent in advance.
- If anything feels wrong, walk away and report the listing using the Report button.
If a listing or seller makes you uncomfortable in any way, use the “Report this listing” button on that advert rather than proceeding.
