Dog Listings – Prohibited Content and Rules
By listing a dog for sale or rehoming on The Aviary Hub Dogs, you confirm that:
- The dog is not an XL Bully type dog (or any dog to which the Prohibited Dogs – Control of Certain Dogs regulations, S.I. No. 491/2024, apply). Listings for these dogs are strictly prohibited and will be removed without notice.
- You have selected the correct breed (or “Crossbreed / Mixed Breed” with an accurate description) for the listing.
- The dog is at least 8 weeks old.
- The dog is microchipped in accordance with the Microchipping of Dogs Regulations 2015, and you have provided a valid, accurate microchip number.
- You lawfully own or are lawfully authorised to sell/rehome this dog, and it was not obtained through theft, smuggling, or unlicensed/illegal breeding.
- The listing does not offer postal or unseen delivery of the dog.
- All information provided (breed, age, health, microchip details) is accurate and not misleading.
Review process: Every dog listing is held for manual review by The Aviary Hub Dogs before it becomes visible on the site. We may reject, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion, including listings that appear to breach these rules even if the automated checks were passed.
Reporting: Any visitor may report a listing they believe is inaccurate, unlawful, or breaches these rules using the “Report this listing” option on the listing page. Reports are reviewed by an administrator.
Enforcement: Sellers who repeatedly breach these rules, or who list a dog banned under Irish law, may have individual listings removed and/or their account suspended, blocking them from creating further listings. We reserve the right to refuse service to any user.
